Dr. Broach received her Bachelor of Veterinary Sciencedegree and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. After practicing veterinary medicine in Castroville for 2 years, she became the owner of the Lytle Veterinary Clinic. As a result, many changes have come about in the last 8 years, both in physical changes and philosophical ones.
Dr Broach: I chose to practice in Lytle because of the people I came to know while working here on a part-time basis. The people in this community really care about one another. My goal in practicing veterinary medicine is to be proactive in preventative medicine. I encourage all of my clients to remain current on vaccinations, parasite control including heartworm medicine, flea and tick preventatives and deworming. Many of the diseases that I treat today have resulted because preventative measures were not taken. Considering the rising costs in veterinary medicine, it makes sense that preventing a disease costs much less than treating one. We believe in educating our clients to know all they can about their pets health so they can easily recognize when they need to bring them into our office. Working together, we can help our pets live longer and healthier lives. |
